Pic's Picks: Website Wednesday

With many 5k, 10k, 5-miler, 10-miler, half and full marathon runs coming up within the local community and Philadelphia area over the next few months, I wanted to use this website Wednesday to show a website I use when I train for races and when I want to go out on a daily jog.

The weather is starting to get nicer and there is no better way to experience it than going on a nice walk or run.  We usually time ourselves saying we will stay out for 20-40 minutes at a time. But, do you ever wonder how far in distance you have ran or walked? Do you ever think to yourself, 'Am I completing this route faster?'

With www.mapmyrun.com, you are able to map out your root, track your progress, and communicate with others within the local community. MapMyRun also offers smartphone applications, allowing you to see how far you have traveled, the speed at which you are moving, and your estimated amount of time per mile while you're being active.
When you're running or walking, it is hard to keep track of time because you are focusing on your strides and breathing. Let MapMyRun give you aid and help you complete a satisfying run.

I have used this website for daily runs and I also used it for my half-marathon training. I recommend it to everyone!!!
